I opened this notepad file that has been on my desk top for forever and found something which I had apparently written down back in the age when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Or some time not so far away from that.
It simply read: “Black!AsaKiku vampire AU”, along with a short description that a vampire Arthur has to bring back food for vampire Kiku every night because the latter cannot go out at night for some reason, and that Kiku gets really bad-tempered when he’s hungry. Oh, and both of them are in their black!alternate personalities.
Since I haven’t written anything in like forever, I figured it would be a good warm up for fifteen minutes.
His lips as scarlet as his eyes, Kiku looked up from the corpse, a mellow look on his face in contrast to the bloody neck he was holding on to.
“Thank you very much for the meal, Arthur. It is greatly appreciated.”
Arthur rolled his eyes in disgust.
“Spare me your coyness,” he grumbled. “You were ready to punch me through the wall just a minute ago.” He glared down at the vampire carefully wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “You’re absolutely impossible when you’re hungry, you know that?”
“Please do not expect me to apologise for my appetite.”
“I am expecting you to control your appetite, you glutton.” Arthur snapped back. “If you had any idea how troublesome it is to bring back food for you like this and still be greeted by a fist to the stomach-“
“Well, I could apologise for the punch, but you should know how it is like when the urge gets too strong.”
“Now would that be the urge to feed or the urge to murder the first person you see, you hedonistic beast?”
Kiku stood up, the mangled and drained corpse slung easily over one shoulder.
“Is there a difference, Arthur?” He asked simply. “I will clean up after myself. Thank you again for the meal.”
